Best Times To Be Productive At Work

So, when should you do what? How can you be more productive? Here are some helpful hints:

When You're Most Productive

Late morning is usually when adults are the most functional. Why? Your brain becomes more active as your body temperature rises, therefore improving your memory, focus, and alertness. However, you're less alert after you've eaten a meal. Not only that, but it's easier to become distracted between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

When You're Most Creative

Feeling a little fatigued? It's probably not such a bad thing after all. Turns out you are most creative when you're tired because your mind wanders more freely than when you're focused on something.

When To Send E-mails

People are most likely to check their inbox in the beginning of the day. So, the earlier you send an e-mail, the better. In fact, people are most likely to read an e-mail at 6 a.m.

When To Tweet

Looking for a few retweets? Try tweeting between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. People are more likely to retweet during this time because they don't have energy to come up with their own posts.

When To Like

As for Facebook, the best time to post something is later in the evening. People are most likely to "like" posts around 8 p.m. because they typically are sitting at home on their computer unwinding from a hectic work day. Enjoy this article? You've got time for another!
