Frequently Asked Questions

March 7, 2009 by sparktalk

Welcome! If you are visiting our site for the first time, then we’d like to help you get the most out of it by answering some of the most common questions we receive:

What is CAREEREALISM? This site is technically a blog, but before you cringe and think about leaving, let us explain that it is actually a powerful learning tool. Blogs have the ability to educate readers in a way that can maximize their comprehension in a minimal amount of time. By reading a blog post and the comments shared by fellow readers, we are able to gain greater perspective on a subject. In other words, reading blogs is a really smart way to absorb a lot of knowledge – FAST.

Why was it created? Individuals are more confused than ever with respect to the smartest ways to find a job they enjoy. At the same time, Corporate America is struggling to understand how to make their work environments something worth committing to. We recognized a need to provide unique, interesting advice that could help readers find ways to achieve the success they desire. Instead of the same old content, we will be looking for ways to offer ‘refreshingly real advice’ that will inspire employees and managers to take control of their situations and make good things happen.

Why should I subscribe? First, please know that we won’t share your e-mail or sell it to SPAMMERS. When you subscribe to this blog by e-mail, it just enables us to send summaries of the weekly content and the links to the full stories so that you can read them when you want to. Subscribing is a great way to ensure you stay up-to-date on all the valuable career information this site provides, and allows you to read it when you feel like it. By taking the time to read our content once/week, you’ll gain valuable knowledge and become better prepared to succeed in the workforce.

What if I want to contribute? We are always looking for new content, so if you have a story you want to share, send us your post idea and we’ll talk. E-mail us today at info@careerealism.com.

You can also check out our CAREEREALISM-Approved Expert Program which, if accepted, would enable you to consistently post your original career content on our site.
