T.A.P. Q#497 – Should I Squeal on My Co-worker?
June 10, 2010 by sparktalk · View Comments
Dear Experts,
My co-worker is being investigated for practicing some work techniques that are against the rules at the company. Personally, I don’t think it’s a big deal and my co-worker should not get in any trouble. If found guilty, she would probably lose her job.
Unfortunately, I have been dragged into the investigation so my boss wants to ask me a few questions regarding the incident. I don’t want to get my co-worker in trouble but I also do not want to lie to my boss. If I lie, it could come back and bite me in the butt.
How should I react to this situation?

T.A.P. Q#496 – Resume: How Do I Display Time Taken Off from College?
June 9, 2010 by sparktalk · View Comments
Dear Experts,
I have a question about my resume. I have completed 90 hours at a 4 year school, but am now taking time off to raise more money to continue. I am looking for a job in the meantime to help with this.
My question is, should I put on my resume I have completed 90 hours at a 4 year school, or just say I have been attending the school from 2005 – Present. And then leave any additional information for a possible interview?
What do you think would look better on a resume?

T.A.P. Q#495 – Do Hiring Managers Avoid Those Laid Off?
June 8, 2010 by sparktalk · View Comments
Dear Experts,
I’m three years removed from college and was recently laid off. I’ve applied for a positions at 6 separate companies and have not had luck with any of them.
Is it possible the reason I have not heard back from anyone because I’m young and have already experienced being laid off? Is that a turn-off for employers?

T.A.P. Q#494 – Getting Feedback from the Interviewer
June 3, 2010 by sparktalk · View Comments
Dear Experts,
I had a series of interviews last week with a few different companies. I don’t think any of the interviews will lead to any job offers but I am curious how I presented myself when I met each hiring manager.
Is there a proper process for obtaining feedback on my interview skills from the interviewer?
