Quick Tip: LinkedIn Photo Tips

Everyone knows they must have a picture on LinkedIn. There is no getting around it. Not only does LinkedIn consider your profile incomplete if you don’t have one, but there is an expectation that everyone be capable of putting a photo up of themselves so their peers can recognize them.

Tip of the day: Don’t use a black and white photo. While many people feel they look better in black and white, the reality is lack of color lessens the impact your photo has on the viewer. You need to be real – in living color real. Black and white doesn’t cut it. Take the time to shoot an updated headshot of yourself. While it doesn’t have to be professionally done, it does need to be clear, show you looking head on, and have a smile reflective of your personality.
