Dear Experts,

I have a follow up question from your webinar on Wednesday.

Should I continue to be at my current job although I am completely clear it is not a company on my interview bucket list? Would it be a better idea for me to quit my current job and secure temp work in the type of company where I would eventually like to work? (ie: temp work at a digital marketing agency instead of continuing my direct marketing job at a online retailer)

Q#417 Don’t be frivolous. Risky to up and quit … and, doesn’t look good on resume either. (@teenarose)

Q#417 That depends on your financial situation. If it isn’t going to hurt your finances, there isn’t much risk in doing that. (@gradversity)

Q#417 I’d get the new gig before I dropped current employer. Safer for you! (@beneubanks)

Q#417 I turned a temp job into 6 yrs but not everyone is that lucky. Rec salaried position 1st b/f making major switch. (@EmilyBennington)

Q#417 Answer is in your financial situation. If you can afford pay cut + have an offer in hand, go for it! If not, wait. (@EmilyBennington)

Q#417 Keep job/income, look 4 job u want, unless ur indep wealthy. Search takes time & bills don’t wait. (@juliaerickson)
