Dear Experts.
I just started work at a company and the secretary/office manager is a woman with a really large chest. She came to my cube the other day in a shirt that to me seemed kind of tight and low cut. I’m no saint, and so I ended up accidentally staring at her cleavage. Well, when I realized what I was doing I looked up at her eyes, but by then she had a scowl on her face and walked off. Since then, she’s been really rude to me. What should I do?

@teenarose Q#183 Too funny! Were you drooling? Tongue on floor? One day, she’ll probably wish the “girls” received more attention. =]
@teenarose Q#183 It’s likely she’ll forgive you at some point. Be patient.
@jtodonnell Q#183 Situation isn’t a bust (had to make a pun), co-worker’s trust will be restored in time, just keep eyes up!
@askamanager Q#183 No, don’t apologize! You’ll just make it way, way worse and more awkward. Just behave going forward.
@gradversity Q#183 A heartfelt and honest apology would be a good start.
@DebraWheatman Q#183 Keep it totally professional from this point forward. Be respectful and pleasant; just move past it.
@askamanager Q#183 Coworker caught you looking at her cleavage? Don’t raise it & make sure you never do it again. You’re at work, not a club.
