Dear Experts,

During my time of unemployment, I make it a point to read volumes of expert tips to implement a successful search. One that I continue to read is working your “plan” of reaching out to hiring managers at target companies to seek out those unadvertised potential openings.

How do you successfully get in touch with the hiring manager for a support role, which most likely will be intercepted by the current person in that role. I find it a tricky situation to maneuver, but know that 80% of jobs are found through these unopened positions.
