I totally agree! The days of working at one job your entire working life are gone. Your job does not deifne who you are as a person. You continue to exist when you leave your job at the end of the day and, therefore, you continue to exist as a valuable person when you quit or lose same job. Your knowledge, talents, and skills remain to be utilized at the next position you find. Signed: Between Positions!

      Thanks Kate!

I spoke to so many folks this week online who are damaging their job search by referring to themselves as “unemployed.” Inside my private Career HMO, http://www.careerealismclub.com, my first session with new members is about removing that from their vocabulary and getting them to create a personal branding statement that focuses on who they are, not whether or not they have a job at the moment.

I hope this video at least inspires people to realize your employment status DOES NOT define you as a professional.

      Cheers!
